FAQs

What can I use the space for?

Our 1,400 sqft space is available for hourly, half-day, or full-day bookings. You can take photos, videos, meet with other creatives, host an event, plan a styled shoot, teach a class, workshop, or mentorship, and so much more. The natural light, coziness, and abundance of amenities make for the perfect creative space!

What our previous guests use the studio for – photo sessions, videos, creative meetups, interviews, evening studio lighting sessions, yoga classes, fashion shows, and more

How much does it cost to rent?

Visit our tab that says “The Space” and click on "Booking Rates” to see our non-member rates. For member rates, please visit the “Membership” page.

Where is the studio located?

The studio is located in El Vado Place adjacent to the historic El Vado Motel at 2500 Central Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87104. You will turn into the El Vado parking lot, and look for the big brown apartment building with the gated patio out front. We are in Suite 200 in the building (Building A).

How will I access the space if nobody is there to let me in?

We use a Schlage Smartlock for keyless and remote entry. When you book, you will receive a short confirmation email with directions to the studio, information about your booking, and instructions for accessing the door lock via the provided 4-digit #.

*Please remember to lock the door up using the same code when you leave the space!

What happens if I run out of time?

We suggest booking at least 2 hours in the space for setting up, tear down, and actually working in the space. If you happen to run out of time, you can quickly check our booking page to see if we have availability for the next hour (or more). If there is availability, feel free to book more time as needed. If there is someone coming right after you, we ask that you please clean and gather your things and leave the premises before your time is up. This is simply respectful to us and our other guests.

Can I bring my own props/furniture/equipment?

Yes – and we encourage it! Please just be mindful to clean up any messes you make in the studio as there are other guests in the studio after you. Do not drag furniture across the floor. Please remember to take all of your belongings with you when you leave. You will have 48 hours to claim your belongings left in the space, otherwise, they will be thrown out or donated.

Can I use confetti or do cake smashes in the studio?

Yes and no - please read! We prohibit the use of fine glitter and small confetti as it is very difficult to clean up and poses many environmental threats. Paper confetti that is easy to clean up is completely fine if approved by us ahead of time and can look amazing against our many backdrops. Cake smashes are also allowed as long as you clean up completely after your session and you must not do it on our furniture or floors - please use your own paper or the seamless paper, please cut off the section damaged by the cake and take it with you when you leave to dispose of it elsewhere. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a charge on your card. Please do not do cake smashes on the bare floor or on our furniture - use paper or your own fabric as a floor covering.
