Rental expectations.

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY & YOU WILL AGREE TO OUR TERMS WHEN BOOKING.

OUR NUMBER ONE RULE IS THAT YOU LEAVE THE STUDIO AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE!

This means:

- Sweeping up any debris from your session

- Throwing away any and all trash in the designated studio trash can

- Folding blankets and putting away pillows after use

- Put props neatly back on the prop shelves

- Put chairs and stools against the walls in an orderly manner

*FAILURE TO COMPLY RESULTS IN A $100 FINE!

OTHER NON-NEGOTIABLES:

  • DO NOT smoke inside the studio.

  • DO NOT create fires or use flames inside or around the studio. If using candles, please blow out the candle before leaving the premises, and do not use them close to flammable objects like roll paper.

  • DO NOT use glitter or confetti in the studio space (UNLESS given special permission by owners)

  • NO pets are permitted inside (UNLESS given special permission by owners)

  • NO illegal substances in or around the studio.

  • NO sexual acts/filming of sexual acts in the studio. Boudoir is allowed and we have privacy curtains for that.

  • DO NOT use nails or tacks to hang things to the walls. Please use command strips, tape, or mounting putty.

  • DO NOT drag the furniture across the floor of the studio.

  • Before leaving the space, please return the materials, backdrops, props, and furniture to how they were when you entered the studio. The cleaner, the better!

  • If we find damage to any furniture/props/backdrops/etc., the booking party responsible will pay for repairs and/or be asked for reimbursements. Any damage or mess will result in a $100 fine IMMEDIATELY.

  • You may bring additional equipment and props into the space as long as you take them with you at the end of your time slot. You must claim the item and pick it up within 48 hours. Failure to do so will result in a service charge. To claim a forgotten item, contact us so we can let you back into the studio to get it.

  • Music must not be played too loud!

studio time

• Set up and tear down MUST be done during Renter’s time slot. Please allow enough time to set up and break down in order to be out of the studio before the studio time is up. This is a courtesy to us and the next guest!

• The Renter’s access for keyless entry is only valid for the duration of their rental time.

• If a Renter should be late to the studio, a refund will not be given. Please make arrangements to arrive on time or reschedule ahead of time.

• For any session that goes over the allotted booking time, renter will be charged an additional $75 at the start of every half hour over time. If a Renter wishes to add more time during their session, they may check the website for availability and add more time if there isn’t a guest booked for the next time slot.

booking requirements

• Renters must agree to all of these policies, which is considered our “Renter’s Agreement” at checkout. They must adhere to and follow the policies listed on this page and they must pay in full online in order to lock down desired booking time slot. Booking is first come, first serve and we reserve the right to cancel or deny a booking request if a contract is not signed or if the explanation for booking is not valid.

• We will not give refunds due to unfavorable lighting conditions due to the weather and time of day.

• Up to 15 people are allowed in the space at a time - if there are more guests, you must inquire about an EVENT BOOKING.

hours of operation

The studio is open Monday-Sunday (7 days a week) from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. Please be mindful that it gets dark around 5:00 pm in the colder seasons.

payments

Payments are to be made in full online at the time of booking in order to secure your time slot. Renter’s credit card information will not be shared and will only be used to pay for their booking.

cancellations

  • A full refund will be issued when cancellations are made 1 week before the scheduled time slot

  • Renter must cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled time slot to get 50% of their refund back. The other 50% will be taken as a cancellation fee.

parking

Parking is available in the lot in front of the studio for our guests and clients. If there is no parking, please park along the street on New York Ave or El Moterey Motel and walk to the space. Please do not leave valuables that may be stolen in a parked car during your time in the studio. Light House Studio is not responsible for any theft or damage to Renter’s vehicle.

theft, injury & incidents

Light House Studio is not responsible for any theft, injury, or other incidents of Renter or their party during the rental.

renter party

The renter accepts responsibility in educating their party in the studio policies in this agreement.
